This is the fruit of a kind of wild rose here. Really interesting looking and it even tastes ok. You have to pick around the edges so as to avoid the seeds inside. The flavor is actually something like a very mild tomato.
While at Burg Plesse I simply had to get a Bratwurst. I think this is the Bavarian style, served with light mustard and (choke) white bread. Why I couldn't have a Brötchen, I don't know!
