abenteueren in herberhausen

i don't know where deutchers go on saturdays but, the streets in little towns like herberhausen are absolutely empty. it's actually very nice--i'm not complaining. it's just strange to be able to bike around on the main street of a small town with out having to dodge zippy little german cars.


herberhausen is a sleepy (on saturday anyway) little town in the middle of the luttertal--the valley along the lutter river (tal = val = valley--i think anyway)

the lutter starts in the hills above herberhausen and runs right through the town.
